This summer has been a load of training for skating, as well as many activities like track cycling, and going around Vancouver and loads of restaurants to try.
During the summer I participated in two speedskating camps, one out in Ridge Meadows and one across the border in Tacoma. At the Ridge Meadows camp, a Korean coach who travelled from U.S. came to coach us over on ice technique, strength training, and off ice dryland. Later, I travelled down to Tacoma with a couple of skater buddies to train more with the Korean coach. It was really tough training, with an hour of both on ice and dryland training everyday.
Also, during the summer I went track cycling at the Burnaby Velodrome. The instructor taught us about the track, bike riding technique, and various bike riding skills on the velodrome.
Moreover, during the summer I went to various speedskating dryland sessions in Port Coquitlam and Burnaby. But other than training I went to the library, and did a bit of gaming.
And thats my summer in a flash!
